
Ho-Chunk Objects: Souvenirs of Bennett’s Wisconsin Dells
The Chipstone Foundation and the Milwaukee Art Museum will co-host "Ho-Chunk Objects: Souvenirs of Bennett’s Wisconsin Dells," a Mrs. M. ———— 's Cabinet Salon with special guest Kendra Greendeer.
Kendra Greendeer, Collections Manager at the Little Eagle Arts Foundation and UW-Madison PhD Student, will be in conversation with Chipstone Curator and Director of Research Dr. Sarah Carter to explore nineteenth-century photographer H. H. Bennett's relationship to Ho-Chunk communities of the Wisconsin Dells region. The discussion will focus on Ho-Chunk objects installed in Mrs. M. ———— 's Cabinet from the Little Eagle Arts Foundation in conjunction with the current photography exhibit Photographing Nature’s Cathedrals: Carleton E. Watkins, Eadweard Muybridge, and H. H. Bennett.
